Family-First Ideology attacked by PM Modi in Telangana

PM MODI steers the BJP’s battle against Dynasts in Telangana

Encouraged by the bumper voting in the 3rd Phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections, PM Modi attacked the dynastic parties of Telangana. Narendra Modi vouched for Nation-First as the BRS and The INC struggle against perception of being family-oriented.

Congress and BRS are all about ‘by the family, of the family, for the family!’ Both these parties are two sides of the same coin,” Modi said while targeting the nepotism of the two family run parties in the Dakshin Bharat state.

Further, slamming BRS and Congress, PM Modi said, “The BJP believes in the ‘Nation-First’ principle. But the Congress and BRS, on the other hand, works on the ‘Family-First’ principle in Telangana.”

KCR FAMILY AND THE BRS CABINET

Dynasty, a tradition in the Dakshin Bharat Politics, is now being challenged by cadres of selfless activists, led by PM Narendra Modi.

Kalvakuntala Chandrashehar Rao, the BRS Boss followed the footsteps of the INC while he led the Government in Telangana. His son, K. T. Rama Rao was elected as a legislator from Sircilla and he had the the IT, Municipal Administration & Urban Development as parts under his Portfolio in Telangana’s second assembly.

His daughter, Kavitha, a former M.P. from Nizamabad is also a Member of Legislative Council from Nizamabad in Telangana.

KCR’s nephew, Harish Rao, represents Siddipet and was cabinet minister for finance in second assembly of Telangana.

To add to the disenchantment of Telangana voters with BRS, were grievances like the KCR’s social housing project did not benefit the needy due to favoritism of BRS leaders. The populace also complaint that Rytha Bandhu chose the rich while getting the benefits distributed.

Such grievances of the Telangana people support the narrative of incompetence plaguing the Dynastic Parties like BRS.

THE CONGRESS, THE DYNASTS AND THE RISING UNPOPULARITY

The rising unpopularity of the Congress is another example of the incompetence among the dynasty-run parties.

The INC in Maharashtra also had a Chavan Dynasty with Dajisaheb Chavan as an MP from 1957-1973. His Son, Prithviraj Chavan served as CM in the Congress Government in Maharashtra between 2010 and 2014

Similarly, Vilasrao Deshmukh, served as CM of Maharashtra with two office terms. His son, Amit Deshmukh is MLA from Latur in Maharashtra.

Similarly, in Haryana, the Hooda Dynasty is still active in which Deepender Singh Hooda served as the Rajya Sabha MP and is the son of Former CM of Haryana, Bhoopender Singh Hooda, both of whom hail from from the Grand Old Party.

Another example of the family-politics of the INC is the Pranab Mukherjee led Family where his daughter Sharmishtha Mukherjee continues to be a member of the party, whereas his son Abhijeet Mukherjee has also represented the Jangipur Constituency from West Bengal in the Lok Sabha again from the Congress Party.

The successive Congress Governments in many states and at the Centre failed to uplift people from poverty, carried the taints of Corruption and have been infamous for their mal-governance, all of which are character traits of Parties run by dynasties.

To add to the troubles for both the INC and BRS is the track record of the Modi Government for delivering on the promise of development, both at the Centre and State-levels.
