NEET ALLEGATIONS: AMIT SHAH CALLS MEET, BIHAR SIT PROBE SUPPORTS PAPER LEAK SUSPICIONS
In the wake of allegations targeting the NEET-exam, Union Home Minister swung into action. He chaired a meeting on June 20,2024, seeking details into the irregularities alleged with the NEET Exam. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Health Minister JP Nadda were in the present.

As per reports by several newspapers, the hour-long meeting epicentered deep deliberations into the issue of the paper leak.
Shah was briefed about all FIRs registered related to the NEET-UG exam. (-Swarajya Magazine)
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), conducted on May 5, 2024, opens doors to medical colleges in Undergraduate (UG) courses. The National Testing Agency, the autonomous body’s supervision of the test is in question.
In addition to The Supreme Court directions for re-examination for the 1,563 students previously awarded with grace marks, five people have been arrested in Gujarat’s Godhra for orchestrating a cheating scam.
Another 13 people including four candidates, three parents and members of a gang alleged to have leaked papers have been arrested in Bihar.
A report from Bihar Police has been sought in this regard.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has been tasked with probe the paper leak allegations.
Its investigation so far is “suggestive of a paper leak”.
The meeting at Shah’s residence comes a day ahead of the nationwide protests on 21 June, that the Congress is expected to lead.
Shah was briefed about all FIRs, especially those registered in Bihar.
Contrary to the narrative terming the meeting a damage control, experts from the Education Sector perceive this is a humanitarian attempt to rescue the careers of thousands of students of Bharat.
