PM Narendra Modi continued his winning streak from Varanasi this Lok Sabha 2024. PM Modi added a new chapter to the history books by winning Varanasi third time in a row as an incumbent Prime Minister. Narendra Modi defeats Congress’ Ajay Rai by a mammoth number of votes.

The Battle for Varanasi in Lok Sabha 2024 turned out to be a cake-walk as the Congress’ Ajay Rai could not pose a threat to PM Modi.

PM Modi held a roadshow and addressed a Nari Shakti conference in Varanasi before filing his nomination papers on May 14. He was joined by the CM of UP Yogi Adityanath and several other BJP stalwarts.

PM Modi’s supporters rallied behind him on the issues of development for Varanasi and ultimately Bharat.

With PM Modi as the Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha, ambitious projects such as Rudrakash center, Medical Hub, Airport Upgrades, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Weaver Support.

Whereas Ajay Rai Rai, asserted his local roots and claimed that if the BJP is unseated only then the issues of the local populace can be addressed.

Varanasi is home to the weavers from the Muslim Community in significant numbers.

PM Modi won a 63.62% vote share whereas INC’s Ajay Rai won 14.38% votes in the Lok Sabha 2019.
